Obradoiro de cinema de sombras

This workshop brings together two traditions, cinema and Chinese shadow theatre. The users will adapt a short story using these techniques, starting from a previously scripted text and divided into 8 fragments so that each group can work on the different phases:

– Deseño e construción de personaxes e escenarios
– Preparación da caixa de luz que servirá de contorna
– Ensaio de animación e dobraxe
– Gravación dos planos ensaiados

These phases will be carried out during the workshop, which will result in the recording of the necessary shots. After the end of the workshop, the final image and sound editing will be carried out, and the resulting piece will be published on the social networks of the Cidade da Cultura and PequeFilmes. This is a workshop for children from 5 years old. There will be a total of 8 sessions of one hour (in principle) divided into 2 sessions on the morning of Saturday 28th December, and another two in the afternoon. On Sunday 29th December it will continue with another 4 sessions (2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon).

Iria Fafián

My name is Iria and I am an illustrator born in Catalonia and raised in Galicia. I don't know what would become of me in this world without drawing. I suppose I would have ended up adapting to it, but thanks to it I have learned to observe and to value simplicity. I try to keep these two things in mind both in my work and in my personal life. After wandering around different places, I have set up my home and studio in a small village in the Galician countryside.
